Hospitals

Outside the Walnuttree

As many of you will remember in 2005, Health Service officials announced plans to close a number of hospital facilities across Suffolk, including Walnuttree and St Leonard's Hospitals and since this Tim has been fighting to retain a local facility.

This has involved writing to, questioning and meeting with Government Ministers, marching on protests and holding an Adjournment Debate in the House of Commons.

After constant pressure on local health bosses, final plans for the new Sudbury Health Facility are currently being put into place.

Tim is also able to raise any concerns he holds about health care in the area and is kept updated of Suffolk NHS plans via meetings with Suffolk PCT's Chair, Alistair McWhirter and Director of Business Development, Martin Royal.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you would like him to raise an issue at these meetings.
