ISP PlusNet, which is based in Sheffield, has created a broadband service designed especially for the 750,000 Polish people currently living in the UK.
The company has a significant number of Polish people working within its organisation and this has helped the ISP launch a service tailored to the Polish community’s needs.
PlusNet now offers a Polish language portal which greets visiting Poles in their own language. There is also an online Polish forum where consumers can exchange information.
The company has also made Polish-speaking support staff available at its call centre.
PlusNet is now considering extending the idea to provide other foreign-language services to its customers.
PlusNet was taken over by BT in 2015 but still operates as an independent subsidiary.
