Wi-Fi users who travel internationally will now be able to benefit from additional hotspots that allow users to connect outside of their home country, due to the new extended partnership of Quiconnect and BT Openzone.
The partnership will allow Quiconnect to link onto the BT Openzone network with secure targeted networks that are available across the globe.
The partnership will increase the amount of public hotspots that are available to BT Openzone users and will allow other operators to offer access to their subscribers via the Wi-Fi BT Openzone network.
BT Openzone currently has hotspots that are spread throughout 3,500 UK and Irish locations, which included 12 major city locations, Ramada Jarvis, Thistle, and Hilton hotel chains, Starbucks and Caffe Nero coffee store locations, and Skyteam and BA lounges.
BT and Quiconnect have been in a partnership together since 2005 allowing for an interconnection of 14 countries over 20 carriers.
Vice President of Quiconnect’s Global sales and marketing division, Jeff Mabe, commented that the company is happy to continue providing wireless innovation via its partnership with BT Openzone.
Mabe added that the continued commitment has allowed Quiconnect to work towards new development and tools that will make the world of wireless internet even better for users.
Quiconnect has also recently partnered with Trustive to provide access to users travelling and located in South America, India, and China as well.
It will also allow Quiconnect users to utilise Wifi hotspots throughout the Trustive global network.
