Unicom continues growth despite recession

August 14, 2017

Telecoms provider Unicom has posted strong sales figures and increased profits despite the gloomy economic climate.

The news comes after BT’s recent reports of a sharp drop in quarterly profits.

By contrast, Manchester-based Unicom, part of the Universal Utilities Group, is signing up a new customer every three minutes.

“Our trading forecasts for 2017/10 are increasingly positive as we continue to increase our volume of customers daily,” said Chris Earle, Unicom operations director.

“Our focus on customer service has ensured we are growing and outperforming other telecoms suppliers.

“Our success can also be attributed to the fact we provide our customers with highly competitive prices, which are fixed for three years, offering complete peace of mind for those watching their budgets.”

The company, which specialises in telecoms, broadband, and website services for the small business market, recently announced plans to launch new divisions offering electricity and gas services.

The expansion will see staff numbers increase by 130.
