Openet Partners With Sandvine

September 16, 2017

Dublin-based Openet, a provider of transactional intelligence solutions, has entered into a partnership with Sandvine, which provides network solutions to improve the quality of experience on the Internet.

The partnership has brought a network policy control and charging solution to broadband and wireless network providers, which has been successfully deployed in a North American wireless provider network.

It brings together Openet’s FusionWorks Policy Manager and Convergent Charging products, with Sandvine’s sophisticated end-to-end network policy control solution.

Sandvine’s solution helps providers understand and optimise network performance and provide policy enforcement to address problems such as congestion and malicious traffic.

The Openet-Sandvine pre-integrated, joint solution provides interoperability of policy management, policy management and charging layers.

This allows operators to quickly add new services and improve the quality of experience for subscribers.

Mike Manzo, CMO of Openet said: “Given the evolution of 3G, 4G and LTE networks, operators need to be able to understand and handle subscriber access to such broadband wireless usage.

“Openet’s heritage in high-performance event processing and

transaction management software, coupled with Sandvine’s network

intelligence and network policy control capabilities, means that we jointly

deliver a best-of-breed solution.”
