November 10, 2016

Cambridge Broadband Networks Ltd has become the first backhaul-focused technology vendor to join the Next Generation Mobile Network Alliance (NGMN).

The NGMN Alliance comprises 53 global network operators, technology vendors and universities, who have come together to provide a platform for innovation for mobile broadband communications.

Their vision is to provide a cost-effective, and user-friendly mobile experience, and a range of devices such as mobile phones and embedded mobile devices for laptops and other consumer electronics.

Cambridge Broadband Network will bring its expertise in traffic optimisation and PMP microwave backhaul architecture to the alliance.

Cambridge Broadband Networks’ CEO, Graham Peel, said: “We are delighted to be joining the NGMN. We feel that adding our unique backhaul technology and experience to the NGMN Alliance will both compliment and strengthen the Alliance’s goal to ensure effective end-to-end backhaul performance throughout mobile broadband networks.”
