Cambridge Broadband Networks appoints CFO

Cambridge Broadband Networks has announced the appointment of Peter Welch as Chief Financial Officer.

Mr Welch was CFO and head of business operations at in-flight communications specialist AeroMobile.

Cambridge Broadband Networks has made significant progress recently, securing strong sales of its Vectastar PMP solutions in developing markets.

Mr Welch will support the company’s plans to develop and promote the product in Western Europe and the US.

CEO Graham Peel said: “Our Vectastar PMP solutions have already been proven in the developing markets where they operate at the heart of a range of advanced networks but the opportunity is expanding quickly.

“We are now enhancing the core platform to deliver a ‘zero footprint’, high capacity variant that meets the unique needs of established, Western European operators.

“In addition, work is expected to start on a Vectastar solution specifically tailored to the US market in the New Year.”

Cambridge Broadband Networks was recognised in the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 2017 as the UK’s fastest growing wireless hardware company, after its sales grew fourfold between 2006 and 2017.
