Catcher lands order from mystery international handset vendor

February 20, 2016

Catcher Technology, manufacturer of magnesium-alloy cases, has revealed that they have received orders for handset cases from an un-named international handset vendor. Shipments to the vendor will start in the second quarter of this year.

Speculations around the identity of the mystery vendor include Nokia and High Tech Computer (HTC).

Boosted by this new order, Catcher is predicting a strong growth in revenues this quarter. The company also predicts that February revenues will be the lowest for the year.

January consolidated revenues for Catcher totalled NT$1.44 billion (US$45.5 million). This is compared to consolidated revenues of NT$1.2 billion in December and $2.17 billion in November.
