E-Ten to release TV supporting PDA phone

January 30, 2016

At next month’s GSM Associations (GSMA) Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, E-Ten Information Systems will showcase the Glofiish V900, a PDA mobile phone with TV support.

Company chairman Hwang Shan-rong announced the news this week. He also outlined the Glofiish V900’s features: it supports reception of DVB-H, DVB-T, T-DMB and DAB broadcasts, boasts a 3.2 megapixel camera, and supports 3.5G. It is powered by a Samsung Electronics 667MHz processor and Windows Mobile 6. Hwang declined to give a release date for the V900.

The V900 is part of E-Ten’s plans to launch six new handsets in 2016, half of which will support 3.5G technology; the other half will support the 2.5G standard.

E-Ten’s after-tax profits for 2015 were NT$646 million (US$20 million), a 61% increase compared to 2006.
