HSL unveils 2.75G picocell

August 7, 2017

Mobile infrastructure provider HSL this week unveiled its 2.75G picocell base station.

Aimed at both small and large scale organisations, the picocell delivers high-quality voice calls and high speed EDGE data connections indoors and outdoors.

Picocells allow organisations to set up low-cost micro-mobile phone networks within their buildings.

Network traffic from picocells is delivered over inexpensive IP over LAN, wireless, satellite, or DSL backhaul networks.

HSL recommends the picocell unit for a range of industries and organisations, including aviation, maritime, retail, residences, offices, underground facilities and rural locations.

Shipments of the 2.75G picocell will begin in December 2017.
