November 20, 2015

D-Link Europe, a manufacturer of networking, connectivity, and data communications products, has appointed Dave Smith as Vice President, Business Solutions. Mr Smith will be based in D-Link’s London office.

With immediate effect, Smith will work with European business solutions teams, to help promote the adoption of the company’s business solutions for corporate customers, in both existing and emerging markets.

Smith was previously Senior VP Marketing for Swyx Solutions, where he was responsible for global corporate and technology marketing. Smith developed a marketing strategy which helped Swyx triple its EMEA business within two years, making it the market leader in IP Telephony solutions for SMEs.

Prior to joining Swyx, Smith was Director of EMEA Marketing at Cisco Systems, where he had considerable experience in marketing and product leadership roles, building on similar experience in his previous role at Nortel Networks.

At D-Link, Smith will target the European business market with a range of business solutions, including the xStack range of switches and NetDefend security solutions.
