TD-SCDMA sales in China level off

During the fourth quarter of 2015 a total of 72 billion yuan’s (US$969 million) worth of TD-SCDMA equipment was purchased by China Mobile Communications, China Telecom and China Network Communications. This is about the same as was purchased by the company’s in the previous quarter.

China Telecom and China Network both followed the lead of China Mobile, and began setting up their TD-SCDMA infrastructures in the second quarter of 2015.

In 2015 the biggest supplier of TD-SCDMA equipment was China-based manufacturer ZTE, who accounted for 45.8% of the total procurement value. They were followed by Datang Telecom Technology, with 27.2%, and TD Tech with 14.9%. Both of these are China based companies.

Other suppliers of TD-SCDMA equipment are Guangzhou New Postcom equipment, FiberHome Technologies, Potervio and Ericsson.
