August 10, 2017

Colt Telecom Group has finished rolling out its next generation Ethernet platform.

The Carrier Ethernet-based Multi-Service Platform was rolled out in London, Paris and Frankfurt in 2016 and has now been extended to 31 more cities.

It will deliver metro Ethernet services, national and international Ethernet, IP VPN and Internet Access services and will provide customers with improved performance through enhanced resilience, reduced latency and lower jitter.

Alireza Mahmoodshahi, COLT’s Chief Technology Officer said: “COLT has always placed Ethernet at the heart of our next generation solutions strategy and this new network extends our leadership of carrier Ethernet and will help our customers improve the way they deliver their applications across Europe”.
