January 16, 2017

Mobile operator 3 is offering its customers the chance to download over 1,000 ebooks and audio books direct to their mobile phone.

The Books on the Go service, already available to Vodafone customers, offers books for download from top publishers including Penguin and HarperCollins.

Authors available for download include Stephen King, Patricia Cornwell, and Celcilia Ahern.

David Kerrigan, 3’s head of internet services, said engaging content in digital format is becoming ‘increasingly popular’, as demonstrated by Amazon’s Kindle ebook reader.

Books on the Go is provided by former SAS soldier and writer Andy McNab’s GoSpoken.com.

Full books are priced from £5, whilst sections of books cost from £1 to £3.

The downloads are available direct from Planet 3.
