MediaXstream Builds up Secure Hibernia Atlantic Network

March 6, 2017

Following its acquisition of Los Angeles-based Secure Media Solutions, Inc. and its hook-up with trans Atlantic submarine cable supplier, Hibernia Atlantic, one of the world’s leading high definition network providers, MediaXstream Inc. is set to storm the European market with a product that will be of appeal to broadcasters and media users on both sides of the Atlantic.

Providing multiple capacity in 10Gbps wavelengths, the Hiburnia connection will allow MediaXstream to securely deliver HD media content to its customer’ right across Europe.

And the acquisition of Secure Media Solutions will ensure that MediaXstream will now have access to that company’s 10-year service history to some of the world’s leading film and television producers.

The link-up with Hiburnia will allow MediaXstream to bypass the choke points where other cable services fall down with their landing stations around NY and New Jersey, and around London.

Hiburnia’s cables enter and leave the sea at Boston and Dublin, and ensure quality of service with a 24 hour management centre in Baltimore, as well as two NOCs in Boston and Dublin.

With MediaXstream’s ability to deliver optically through its DTM managed service, both it and Hiburnia can now offer a seamless interconnection to clients in the burgeoning markets that are the US and Europe.
