Radio Frequency Systems wins EMMY award

January 13, 2017

Wireless infrastructure specialist, Radio Frequency Systems (RFS), has won an EMMY, the TV industry’s highest honour, for its work on ‘adjacent channel combiners’ for TV broadcasting.

RFS’s technology allows digital and analog systems to run concurrently during TV’s digital switchover, eliminating the need to install new antenna systems and supporting infrastructure, which obviously means substantial savings for the television industry.

RFS’s directional waveguide adjacent channel combiner technology is being used by 132 projects across the world, and many more countries are planning to deploy the technology as they move towards digital switchover.

The company is supporting the DTV switchover in the UK, providing advanced broadcast antenna solutions to Arqiva and National Grid Wireless.

It operates a broadcast antenna assembly facility and test range in Haddenham, Buckinghamshire.
