BT Openzone wins 6,600 more Wi-Fi hotspots

October 6, 2016

BT Openzone has expanded its Wi-Fi estate with 6,600 more Wi-Fi locations from iBAHN, Wayport, and Vex.

The three new networks give BT Openzone customers over 45,000 Wi-Fi hotspots across the world.

The partnership with iBAHN provides around 1,500 hotspots at the Hyatt, Ritz-Carlton and all Marriott brands in the Americas and Canada, and well as 230 UK locations.

The Wayport deal provides access at around 500 USA hotels including the Four Seasons, Hilton, Marriott, Sheraton, Radisson and Renaissance groups.

Latin American operator, Vex, provides 4,600 hotspots across the continent, as well as hotspots in Italy, Spain, Portugal, Belgium, Luxemburg and South Africa.

BT is also helping keep down the cost of using a mobile phone overseas with its international voucher.

The voucher helps travelers avoid high roaming charges and provides 500 Wi-Fi minutes for 14 days for £28.
