Telephonetics’ Remind+ reduces missed appointments

January 18, 2016

Telephonetics VIP has released the beta version of Remind+, the first automated notification solution based on speech recognition technology.

Remind+ makes outbound calls to remind people of an imminent appointment and records a response to the information provided using speech recognition technology.

This allows organisations to re-allocate an appointment or resource that is no longer required. Remind+ will keep calling contacts until it is successful in securing a response.

The solution can result in significant cost savings for organisations such as the NHS, which incurs an estimated annual loss of over £600 million from missed appointments. It is also expected to benefit private sector organisations such as legal and finance organisations.

Remind+ is designed to be complementary to existing phone systems and requires very little administration. It frees staff from routine calls, allowing them to carry out more productive tasks.
